　　犯規(guī)是指場(chǎng)上球員在比賽進(jìn)行過(guò)程中，采用不正當(dāng)?shù)姆绞絹?lái)獲取得分或者有利于得分的手段，或者是在防守時(shí)侵犯了進(jìn)攻隊(duì)員的有利權(quán)益。比如打手、推人、帶球撞人、阻擋等比較惡性的不正當(dāng)手段。正式比賽中犯規(guī)是要計(jì)算次數(shù)，當(dāng)達(dá)到一定的次數(shù)(比賽分上下半場(chǎng)的為40分鐘5次，分為4節(jié)的是48分鐘6次)，該球員必須被判離場(chǎng)。

　　違例是指場(chǎng)上球員在比賽進(jìn)行過(guò)程中，不慎侵犯了比賽中的某一些基本規(guī)定。比如走步、回場(chǎng)、干擾、三秒等等并不是惡意的手段。由于違例一般無(wú)意中所發(fā)生的，所以并不存在侵犯對(duì)方球員身體，所以違例不需要被計(jì)算次數(shù)而使得球員離場(chǎng)。

　　其實(shí)最重要的一點(diǎn)就是犯規(guī)是對(duì)球員或者比賽工作人員本身的，而違例是對(duì)規(guī)則本身的，所以走步翻腕這些規(guī)則不允許的是違例，而侵犯，打手，帶球撞人以及沖撞裁判等都是犯規(guī)。
